Is your child too young to join Army or Air Cadets?
If they are between the ages of 9-12 then consider having them join the Navy League as a stepping stone.
It's an amazing program for those that want to learn about the water, go on some amazing trips, and learn some self-discipline and responsibility.

And if your child is between the ages of 12-18 (but not 19), 2963 Seaforth Army cadets is having their first night this Tuesday, 8 September from 6-9 pm.

The Army Cadet League of Canada stands firmly behind cadets, adult staff, volunteers, and officers who dedicate their time to building stronger communities and developing the next generation of Canadian leaders.

The Canadian Cadet Programs provide world-class leadership, citizenship, and physical fitness opportunities to tens of thousands of young Canadians across the country, completely free of barrier. The dedicated officers of the Cadet Organizations Administration and Training Service and civilian volunteers go above and beyond every day to mentor, educate, and celebrate the genuine achievements of these young people.

The safety, dignity, and well-being of our members, cadet leaders, and especially cadets is our highest priority. We strongly condemn any online harassment, or mockery of cadets' achievements. Directing derogatory commentary toward youth who are actively working to better themselves and serve their communities is unacceptable.

We remain immensely proud of cadets and the leaders who support them, and we will continue to champion their hard work, resilience, and service to Canada.

Welcome back to the 2026/2027 Training Year!
Registration is open at anytime at https://registration.cadets.gc.ca/get-started.html (look up 2963) or visit us on September 8th at our exclusive training property, located at 4403 Hilltop Rd (Go up Field Rd in Wilson Creek, turn toward the airport, and our driveway is on the left at the first corner).

A fantastic achievement! Congratulations to all!

What an incredible moment for our sister corps, #46 NLCC Honourable Clarence Wallace in North Vancouver.

This photo brings together six Commanding Officers who have led the corps from 1991 to the present day:

• LCdr. (NL) Cliff Mah (1991–1996)
• LCdr. (NL) Stephen Lemarec (2006–2011)
• Lt. (NL) Alta Skellenger (2011–2014)
• Lt. (NL) Ryan Moore (2014–2020)
• Lt. (NL) Colin Parkinson (2020–2025)
• Lt. (NL) Allyne Rayo (2025–Present)

Together, they represent more than 125 years of volunteer service dedicated to developing young leaders through the Navy League Cadet program.

A special shout-out to our own CO, Alta Skellenger. Her years of dedication, leadership, and commitment to cadets continue to make a lasting impact, and we're so proud to see her recognized as part of this remarkable legacy.

Adding to the celebration, the corps was also home to this year's National Navy League Cadet of the Year—a first in their history. What an achievement for the cadet, the volunteers, and the entire corps.

Congratulations to everyone involved. The future is bright when young people have leaders like these guiding the way.
