Parents Engaged in Education

By investing early and consistently, we unlock potential and expand opportunity.

Our mission is to ensure children in underserved communities have access to meaningful STEM learning and educational resources from early childhood through adolescence. Parents Engaged in Education was formed by committed parent leaders, teachers and principal who are focused on providing resources to school councils across the province of Ontario. We are also exploring new ways to engage parents

and excite them about becoming involved in their children’s education. In February 2021, PEIE opened CANADA’S FIRST EDUCATION BANK providing free school supplies, great books, fun activities, lunch bags full of food, mental health resources and technology to vulnerable students. Equity matters to the volunteers at PEIE, we believe every child deserves to be elevated with opportunities that allow them to be their best self and build a great future.

Behind every step we take, there’s a future worth investing in. One mother shared what Education Bank’s ongoing support has meant for her family:

“The Education Bank has been an absolute blessing for our family with five kids. Since the pandemic until now their services means a lot for low income families like us. The backpack drive, robotic programs, tutoring, LEGO Learning and a lot, lot more… with their support my son was able to step forward into his future with so much confidence, and as a mother, I thank the Education Bank from the bottom of my heart. Your support means more to us than you will ever know.”

On July 6th, we were excited to officially launch our first LEGO League Summer STEM Camp! 🚀💡

At the camp, students ages 8–13 living in Toronto Community Housing have been diving into hands-on STEM learning through problem-solving and teamwork.

The camp is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and equip young learners with valuable skills that can help prepare them for the future workforce.

We can’t wait to see what these bright minds create this summer! 💙
