Sgt and WO Elahi were recently I nvested as Knights of the Order of St. George (Canada) and presented with the Field Medal for Youth Leadership and Community Service.
The ceremony was held on October 31, 2025, under the authority of Charles Hill, KGCStG, Grand Prior of the Grand Priory of Canada, in recognition of their outstanding leadership within the Royal Canadian Army Cadets and their broader community contributions.
Both Daniyal and Harris have exemplified the values of discipline, service, and citizenship that lie at the heart of the Cadet movement. In addition to their cadet accomplishments, they co-produced the educational project Our Shared Sacrifice: Canada, Pakistan, and India in World War I, which highlights the Commonwealth’s shared military history and fosters cross-cultural understanding among youth. They also remain active in community programs through Right to Play Canada, the Elahi Health Centre, and the Parveen Elahi Girls Sports Centre.

The ACLC Medal of Merit, Howard Bar, was awarded to Warrant Officer Clarisse Ng from the 2381 RCACC this past week. The presentation was made by ACLC League Liaison, Mr. Jonathan Ho, and the Corps Commanding Officer, Captain Berthiaume. The Howard bar was created to recognize outstanding Army Cadets for accomplishments during the Gold Star training program.

On behalf of the ACLC BC Branch, we would like to express our gratitude to WO Ng for her exceptional contributions to the cadet program, her school, and her community. WO Ng demonstrates her strong leadership, professionalism, and participation, serving as an impressive role model to her fellow cadets.

Additionally, she is a competitive dragon boat paddler and represented Canada at the 17th World Championship in Germany, where the team achieved two gold and five silver medals. WO Ng also supports her community by volunteering with the Vancouver International Marathon Society.

We would also like to extend our thanks to our DND partners, support committee members, and the Corps Senior Cadet for their efforts in nominating WO Ng for the ACLC's new award, the Medal of Merit, Howard Bar.

Congratulations, WO Ng!
