In John 7:38, Jesus speaks of living water flowing from those who believe in Him. It is a picture of the Holy Spirit at work within us, bringing new life and shaping how we love, serve, and care for others.

When God renews us from within, that renewal does not stop with us. It overflows through compassion, generosity, justice, and hope.

May our lives reflect the life of Christ to our neighbours, our communities, and people around the world.

Will you pray with us today?

Right now in Aweil East County, South Sudan, our partners are preparing sorghum, grains, oil and other food supplies for families facing severe hunger.

This is the fourth food distribution since May, following distributions in May, June and July. In the coming hours, families will receive 65 kg bags of food to help meet urgent needs.

More than 10,000 people will be reached through this distribution.

And thanks to your support this past Amaze Day on June 16, you helped make this possible.

As the food is sorted and prepared today, will you pray for the families who will receive it, for our partners carrying out the distribution, and for strength and hope in the days ahead?

Your generosity and prayers are helping people in South Sudan access the food they need in this critical moment.

Six years ago, Amina received her first training in poultry care.

🌱 But it wasn't until she joined a Village Savings and Loan (VSL) group that she could truly grow.

Instead of taking on risky debt, she wisely borrowed little by little.

🐣 Today she has 200 chicks, and 100% of them survive each cycle!

Her secret? Daily washing of drinkers and keeping her pens extremely clean.

"Hygiene is the paramount thing for poultry," she says.

🌽 Though her chickens are what make her money, Amina grows sorghum, maize, and legumes in one plot to feed her family and animals. Growing the crops together helps them naturally fertilize each other.

She’s even saved enough to buy dairy cows and goats!

Her next goal? "I want to buy land for fodder and grazing."

💰 Amina is one of few women in her area holding membership in multiple VSL groups at once, giving her the best access to loans to grow her farm and pay her group back.

She has become an innovative leader in her community, raising a local chicken breed prized for its taste, calculating every cost and pricing her chickens herself to make a profit.

Today we're saying a special thanks to the people that carry out Tearfund's work locally.

They courageously delivered aid and food assistance amid war, and continue with healthcare during the Ebola outbreak in the DR Congo.

Every day, they work in countries with unsafe conditions, often at real risk to themselves.

Today, and every day, we're grateful for their commitment in all the countries we work with.

1. The people who have lost loved ones or are battling the disease
2. Our partners' safety and wisdom in disease prevention
3. The Lord's intervention to stop the disease spread

This is reality for millions of people around the world every single year.

Next time you're in your garden and when you start planting your seeds in the spring, think of the people who rely on their own fields to feed their families.

Pray for them to harvest what they need.

Plant seeds of change in the people around you, so our hearts can move for those who are in need.

Isaiah 58:11 paints a picture of restoration, strength, and hope. Like a well-watered garden, a life rooted in God can bring renewal to others.

Through His people, God is at work restoring relationships, strengthening communities, and creating space for people to flourish.

May our lives reflect that same hope, deeply rooted in God and generously shared with our neighbours, our communities, and people around the world.
