By raising up a generation of John the Baptists we believe in the priesthood of all believers. We believe in a nation of priests, a kingdom of prophets called to be heralds warning the world to repent and turn to God. Warning the world that Jesus is coming soon and that there is a judgement to fear and a day of reckoning coming. John the Baptist was a person who was determined to live a holy life

to God set apart from the world and committed to his mission even to the death. He was a man who didn't love his life but loved God more. A man who had the courage to proclaim the truth even if it meant imprisonment and death. A man who was convicted of the righteousness of his cause and had faith to take God at his word. Are you John the Baptist?

Love this quote by Oswald Chambers:

“Always make it a practice to stir your own mind thoroughly to think through what you have easily believed. Your position is not really yours until you make it yours through suffering and study. The author or speaker from whom you learn the most is not the one who teaches you something you didn’t know before, but the one who helps you take a truth with which you have quietly struggled, give it expression, and speak it clearly and boldly.”

This is a big reason why we as Christians must avoid the temptation to use ChatGPT to put together our sermon / paper / devotional thought. What we haven’t struggled with will not have authority. God won’t violate the laws of the universe. Truth can only be learned the sacrifice, pain, and suffering.
