OSARVA (Ontario Search and Rescue Volunteer Association) would like to recognize the support received from Great Lakes Outfitters in helping our teams get equipped with new Garmin In-Reach GPS units.
As a part of a Public Safety Canada New Initiatives Fund, all OSARVA teams will receive two Garmin In-Reach GPS units and the service. These new devices will increase our communications and interoperability between teams on both local searches and on larger efforts.
Pictured above is Dave Rowlinson OSARVA Vice President and North East Director, Jamie Marshall from Sault Search and Rescue and Dave Edgar from Great Lakes Outfitters who coordinated the GPS order with Garmin Canada, and who assisted with the GPS selection and review.
