Please be advised that all CHILD CARE ALGOMA Programs and Services (SSM and District) will be closed on Monday March 16, 2026 due to heavy snow, inclement weather and poor road conditions.

Milestones tell a growing story. Each time you complete an Ages and Stages Questionnaire, you add the next chapter.

Kids grow fast, and the ASQ questionnaire helps you keep up. Milestones change quickly, and developmental check-ins at regular intervals show the new things your child can do. ASQs offer a fresh snapshot of new skills, like updating a milestone scrapbook and a way for caregivers to celebrate progress and understand what’s coming next.

Starting solids is an exciting (and sometimes overwhelming!) milestone.
Not sure where to begin? You’re not alone!

✔️ Unsure what foods to offer your baby?
✔️ Confused by conflicting advice on social media?
✔️ Wondering if your baby is ready for certain textures?

Join our Speech‑Language Pathologists for an evidence‑based session designed to support you through every step of starting solids.

✨ In this session, we’ll cover:
• How to choose foods based on your baby’s skills and development
• Signs your baby is ready for solids
• Which foods are best to start with
• When and how to progress to more complex textures

👶 We’ll also discuss special considerations for preterm infants and babies with allergies or reflux.
