What a night! 💗

Over 140 women joined us on Wednesday evening, including more than 20 first-time attendees. Together, we raised an incredible $11,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sault Ste. Marie- and donations are still coming in!

Seeing so many familiar faces alongside so many new ones was a wonderful reminder of what this group is all about: women coming together to create immediate, meaningful impact in our community.

We were also thrilled to welcome a special guest who is exploring the idea of starting a chapter in her own community. It was inspiring to share our story and see the ripple effect of collective giving continue to grow.

Thank you to every woman who attended, donated, volunteered, and helped make the evening such a success. Together, we made a difference. 💕

Did you know? There are many different ways to donate!💗

We accept cash, cheque, and e-transfer, and sometimes the featured charity will also have a direct donation link you can use.

If you can’t make it to the event, that’s totally okay- you can send your donation ahead of time, drop it off at Stone’s Office Supply, or even bring it by after!

You can donate $100 on your own or split it with a group of friends ($25 each). Every bit truly makes a difference 😊

You’ll get a tax receipt for your donation- just make sure your info is included if you’re dropping it off!

And if you’re sending it ahead and can’t attend, don’t forget to include your vote for the next charity too 🗳️

It’s our anniversary this month! 10 years. 40+ gatherings. Over $400,000 raised locally and counting. 💕

What started as a simple idea- women coming together once a quarter to give- has grown into a powerful decade of collective impact. Every member, every nomination, every vote has helped strengthen grassroots charities right here in our community!

To everyone who has been part of this journey over the past 10 years: thank you for showing up, giving generously, and proving that small commitments, multiplied by many, can change everything. 🩷

At our last 100+ Women Who Care meeting, Connect the Dots walked away with an amazing $10,120… and the donations didn’t stop there!

This local charity is doing powerful work: collecting surplus food from grocery stores and suppliers and redistributing it to those in need, reducing waste and fighting food insecurity right here in Sault Ste. Marie. 🌱

Hello friends! It's a beautiful day! The sun is shining, the Jays are ahead and we had a superb turnout at our event last night in support of the legendary Camp McDougall!

Together we raised $11,325 and showed our love to Camp McDougall, whose staff and volunteers give so much to our kids -- love, adventures, confidence and lifelong friendships.

We also heard from the beautiful Therapeutic Ride Algoma, who we supported earlier this year.

They were able to secure a ramp to help their riders mount their horses. They have also subsequently attracted alot of community support, including supplies, labour and volunteers. You can too get involved! Email them at [email protected] .

Our next meeting will be in February 2026, date tbd. The next group is the fantastic Connect the Dots Community Harvest.

This 100% volunteer group rescues good food which might otherwise go to waste, bringing it to relevant agencies for distribution to those in need. From 2017-2024 they rescued 73,000 pounds of food for distribution.

In 2025 alone they are on track to rescue 120,000 pounds, which is 10 times any previous year's intake. The 2026 target is 200,000 pounds.

Happy International Women's Day!

Thank you to our small local charities and NFPs who help our most vulnerable neighbours, and to all the amazing members of 100+ Women SSM, who donate to support them.

We often quote our heroine, Helen Keller, who said "Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much."

Today we also quote another heroine, Isabel Allende:
