YBC IS BACK!!

The ELITE 8 BASKETBALL ACADEMY is excited to be partnering with the to once again provide this amazing program!

Starting January 17th the most popular youth program over the past 30 years is back and will be better than ever!

Teams will compete in real games over a 10 week season at which time a Champion will be crowned and Gold medals rewarded!

All sessions will take place on Saturdays at the YMCA during the following times.

GRADES 1-2: 9:00-10:15am
GRADES 3-4: 10:30-11:45am
GRADES 5-6: 12:00-1:15pm
GRADES 7-8: 1:30-3:00pm

Today our JR.NBA Ballers are receiving their new branded balls and jerseys!!

There is still 8 weeks left of the program after today’s session and it’s not too late to join the 50+athletes from grade 1-6 already participating! Extra packages have been ordered!

During this program athletes will learn life lessons through our words of the day and show them how they can be used in life and basketball.

IT’S HER TIME TO PLAY!!

We’re announcing our U13 Girls ( 2013 ) & U14 Girls ( 2012 ) tryouts!!

Sunday October 5th from 11:00am-12:30pm the girls will have a joint tryout at Notre Dame located at 600 North Street.

The goal is to have two separate teams but we’ll combine them if we have to!

Each team will travel and play in 3 OBA Sanctioned Tournaments as well as the Ontario Cup Championships at the end of the year!!

This is a great opportunity for our girls to show the rest of the province what they are made of!

The Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA program is a 10 week youth basketball program for grades 1 to 6, hosted by The Elite 8 Basketball Academy and the Sault Ste. Marie YMCA.

Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA Youth Basketball is a national program designed to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship, and a love for the game of basketball. The program creates opportunities for all children to learn and play basketball, through qualified coaching and programming that is in a positive, safe, supportive, and development-focused environment.

- Grades 1/2 Saturday 10:00am-11:15am
- Grades 3/4 Saturday 11:30am-12:45pm
- Grades 5/6 Saturday 1:00pm-2:15pm

YMCA Members: $150 / Non-members: $200
All participants will receive a Jr. NBA Branded practice jersey and ball!

VERY IMPORTANT: If your family is struggling financially, please reach out and we will figure out a way for your child to participate. There will never be a situation where a child does not participate due to registration cost.

ELITE 8 Is ensuring their athletes are eating the proper foods at the proper times at all times! All of our coaches and athletes will be trained and given resources to ensure they are fuelling their bodies properly.

Proper fuelling is imperative for our athletes to be able handle all of the challenges from weight training workouts , to practice sessions to games to quick tournament turn-arounds.

A HUGE ELITE 8 shout out to L.S.S.U Assistant coach Cam Ramos for meeting with me to discuss defense the past few weeks. Our Academy is so grateful for his time. Looking forward to upcoming meetings. There are many reasons the Lakers have been extremely successful these past few years. Coach Ramos is definitely one of them. Coach said he’s looking forward to attending our Club Team practices in the near future. Thanks for everything coach! 🏆
