What an incredible Youth Summit 2026. đź’™

We want to send a huge thank you to all of the students, Nations, schools, educators, and chaperones who travelled from across Saskatchewan to be part of this special day. Seeing so many young people come together to learn, connect, ask questions, and explore future opportunities in STEM, natural resources, and leadership was truly inspiring.

A very special thank you to Mosaic, our Legacy Sponsor, for believing in our youth and helping create opportunities that empower the next generation. Your support helped make this day such a success, and we are incredibly grateful for your commitment to First Nations youth and communities.

We would also like to sincerely thank all of our sponsors, partners, exhibitors, speakers, and volunteers who helped bring this event to life. Your support, knowledge, and contributions helped create an unforgettable experience for our youth.

The energy, laughter, conversations, and excitement throughout the day reminded us exactly why this work matters.

Thank you again to everyone who attended and supported our Youth Day. We are so proud of what was created together!

Our final Youth Chief feature,

Semiah Cote from Cote First Nation shared some powerful reflections on her experience at last year’s STEM Summit, the importance of youth voices, and what leadership means to her.

Thank you, Semiah, for sharing your words with us. We look forward to seeing everyone again this year.

“Tansi, aaniin, my name is Semiah Cote I am from Cote First Nation. I was pleasantly invited to last years STEM Summit.
I experienced extensive learning sessions about the mining industry with transparency with the effects and impacts. I was able to meet youth with similar views and perspectives on the mining industries and were able to develop ideas on how to sustain our land as well as include youth voices when it comes to decisions that impact the land and their futures.
What stood out most for me was the inclusion of all the youth invited to this event and how everyone was engaged in the discussions.
One key take away for me was that our youth are important when coming up with decisions that effect their future, and that they have so much valuable things say if just given the opportunity.
The event really impacted the way I see myself as Youth Chief, that I don’t just stand alone as the Female Youth Chief, I have multiple strong young voices in my corner and I plan to not be the only one standing there on that podium allowing my voice to be heard.
I think this event is important for youth leaders and for those who want to become one by starting to practice using your voice, because I know how hard it was for me to start using my voice. It’s important to have your voice be heard and respected.
To describe my experience in one word: Inspirational.

kinanâskomitin, miigwech, I look forward to seeing you all this year!”
