For the Abenojar family from Saskatoon, life changed within mere minutes as they watched their daughter Sophia go from happy and healthy to headaches that turned into seizures.⁠

Board Meeting Update - April📝⁠

The work of the Kinsmen Foundation continues all-year even when the lights on another TeleMiracle have been turned off.⁠
⁠
During the year, the Kinsmen Foundation Board of Directors sit down to review applications received at the office. Our volunteer board representatives advocate for these individuals at the board table.⁠
⁠
This month, one of the grant applications that was approved was for a medical sheepskin. Medical sheepskins provide comfort for individuals with limited mobility and prevent pressure sores.⁠
⁠
Even after the close of TeleMiracle 50, we continue to need your support so items like medical sheepskins can be made available to applicants. Your gift could be the difference that helps someone today. ❤️

This equipment allows individuals the ability to elevate and move in their chairs and even look others in the face. Standing power wheelchairs have many health benefits to individuals including supporting bone health, reducing the risk of pressure sores, improving range of motion, and more. Individuals who receive funding for standing power wheelchairs are truly grateful for the support from the Kinsmen Foundation.⁠

Board Meeting Update - March📝⁠

After a successful TeleMiracle event, the Kinsmen Foundation Board of Directors returned to the board table to continue granting applicants equipment and medical travel. The work of the Kinsmen Foundation continues all-year even when the lights on another TeleMiracle have been turned off.⁠
⁠
During the year, the Kinsmen Foundation Board of Directors sit down to review applications received at the office. Our volunteer board representatives advocate for these individuals at the board table.⁠
⁠
In March, 56 applications were granted. 56 Saskatchewan families were impacted because of your donation to the Kinsmen Foundation!⁠
⁠
This month, one of the grant applications that was approved was for a Rifton Walker. The Rifton Walker is primarily used for gait training to help support safe mobility and walking. The second slide shows a demonstration of how this equipment is used.⁠
⁠
Even after the close of TeleMiracle 50, we continue to need your support so grants like the Rifton Walker can be made available. Your gift could be the difference that helps someone improve their mobility today. ❤️
