Member Spotlight: Bethany Manor Celebrates 40 Years of Home
This year, Bethany Manor celebrated an incredible milestone: 40 years of providing seniors in Saskatoon with a place to call home.
The story began in 1980, when representatives from five Mennonite churches came together to explore the housing needs of seniors in Saskatoon. Their vision led to the incorporation of Saskatoon Mennonite Care Services Inc. in 1981, and in January 1986, the first residents moved into Bethany Manor.
From that first 70-suite building, Bethany Manor has grown into a vibrant community that today includes 272 suites across five buildings, 18 townhouses, and approximately 375 residents. Its range of independent living, assisted living, and personal care options helps residents remain within the community as their needs change.
At the heart of that growth has remained the same mission: providing residents with safe, affordable housing and an enriched quality of life through programs and services.
