Living with cancer has taught me things I never expected to learn. It's shown me how to advocate harder for myself, love more openly, and step into uncomfortable spaces, not because I'm brave, but because there's simply no other choice.

At the start of this year, I made a vision board, but I didn't fill it with specific goals or timelines. Instead, I let it be a little vague, a little dreamy, and full of feelings and possibilities rather than checkboxes.

I wanted it to remind me of what mattered most: kindness, creativity, and finding ways to serve others. I wanted to stay open to whatever opportunities came my way, especially the ones that might make a real difference.

I've come to believe that if something doesn't scare you, it's not big enough.

After the passing of my stepmom from breast cancer this summer, one of those quiet intentions from my vision board has come to life in a way I could hardly have imagined.

Canada's first and only non-profit cancer support registry.

It's a place where people facing cancer can ask for what they truly need, and where their communities can show up with meaningful, thoughtful support.

What started as a feeling and fleeting thought has grown into something real: a community, a tool, a way to make care easier and more powerful for everyone touched by cancer.

We built this platform because we know what it's like to need help and not know how to ask for it. We built it to empower patients and inspire communities, not just for one person, but for cancer-supporting communities across Canada.
