Camp Circle O' Friends Saskatchewan's only summer camp program dedicated to children affected by cancer With fun. With hope!

We believe summer camp is a right of passage for all kids, but that it can also bea powerful healing experience for those who have been affected by Cancer in childhood. Whether they've lost loved ones, or are sick themselves, Camp Circle O' Friends is about letting kids be kids, to let them know life can go on. The camp offers state-of-the-art medical facilities, as well as a the full range of indoor and outdoor camp activities, including water sports and a horse program. A team of volunteer medical staff offers the reassurance that the professional help of doctors, nurses, psychologists and social workers are on hand 24-hours a day, to offer first aid or a shoulder to cry on. Campers from all over Saskatchewan aged 6 to 18 in a session come to CCOF to make friends and offer each other support. The camp has helped thousands of families experience some form of normalcy during and beyond Cancer. And the program keeps going strong, thanks to the generosity and support of volunteers and community groups.

Camp Circle O’ Friends was very excited and grateful to be invited to Camp Quality’s “New Heights” 2026 program, a 5-day camp for teens affected by cancer from across the country.

While at New Heights in central Ontario, our cohort of 5 campers participated in recreation, leadership, and team-building activities. Amongst some of our camper’s favourite experiences were meeting teens who shared lived experience with cancer from other provinces, the opportunity to travel and see Ontario, a live performance from the artist TALK and his band, and a wrap-up dance beneath the stars that ended with everyone drenched from the rain.

Huge shoutout and thanks to the Camp Quality Canada team for having us out to their Camp Quality New Heights program, and all the volunteers that made it happen. We couldn’t think of a better way to end the summer. Cheers to new friends, and new experiences!

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION

Camp Circle O’ Friends couldn’t operate without our dedicated army of volunteers. For 5 days, this team dedicates themselves to providing the most fun, high-quality, informed, and compassionate care to our campers imaginable. Our volunteer team is comprised of nurses, counsellors, students, teachers, retirees, mechanics, entrepreneurs, moms and dads, and former campers, just to name a few. What do these people have in common? Their love for camp, and their desire to make a difference in the lives of children affected by cancer in Saskatchewan.

Our volunteers are always ready to “take one for the team”, whether that means being force-fed pudding by a blindfolded camper, diving in to the not-so-warm lake for polar bear swim, staying up late to supervise a teen campfire, or conquering their fear of heights to participate in Hope’s Ropes with their cabin. Our volunteers are always pushing themselves to create the most wonderful and memorable experience for our campers, day after day.

We simply could not run camp without these amazing volunteers. These volunteers are the backbone of the CCOF operation, and family. Cheers to an absolutely fabulous 2026, and cheers to the people who made it happen. Thank you, 2026 CCOF Volunteers!

Through outstanding teamwork, many interrogations, and the examination of pertinent evidence, our agents successfully solved the case of the stolen Mona Gayle! This priceless piece of artwork was recovered by agents today, and has been returned to its rightful place of honour in the main lodge. MISSION COMPLETE.

The teen boys’ cabin was successfully apprehended and will face appropriate repercussions for having acted as double-agents.

Thank you to all agents for their amazing work over the course of this investigation. Agents did an exceptional job investigating, while working undercover as “campers” at “Camp Circle O’ Friends”.

Agents will be boarding their transportation vessels shortly, and are looking forward to returning to their respective home bases to meet with their agent transportation teams.

Our Secret Agents have snuck their way to our top-secret campout location! 🤫

42 agents have arrived safe and soundly who were greeted by our very excited volunteers! Thank you to our nurses for travelling on the buses to get here.

As our agents arrived, they were shown to their dormitories where they were then sent through our multifactor authentication process. Agents scanned their retinas, recorded fingerprints and Secret Agent Badges were sent out for special access throughout camp. We ate lunch and began our scavenger hunt throughout the camp. We ended the evening with a handful of games of capture the flag, followed by spike ball, kick ball and one more snack before agents got their shut eye for the night.

This morning we had a total of 28 agents start their training with a cold plunge, or as we like to call it the polar bear swim!! If we work hard, we can make that number grow tomorrow!

As agents, we are trained to crack the most difficult codes—this morning our agents awoke to our most prized possession the “Mona Gayle” MISSING! Agents are working hard to crack this case. Stay tuned to see what we can find!

Next on the agenda...agents must limbo, YMCA, and macarena their way through a night full of dancing with DJ Johnie! 🎶
