PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT!

The Recognition of Filipino Heritage Month is a milestone for the Filipino-Canadians in Saskatchewan, and we are sincerely humbled by this heartwarming attainment.

BFAC is proud to have been instrumental in making this a reality. A day trip to Regina and an encouraging in person meeting after taking time off from our own hectic personal schedules speak for the tireless efforts to make this project successful.

Last year, in November 2025, we had the honor to get invited by the Ministry of Cultures and Sports to attend the declaration of the Cultural Heritages in Saskatchewan. Myself, Bella Torres-Josue, Vice President of BFAC, am deeply honored to have been side by side with our Folkfest President Engineer Danny Baliad.

Together, we made waves in reaching a common momentous goal for our Filipino community in Saskatchewan.

This post is a declaration that our hard work has paid off, and we are ecstatic that we can pass this on to our future generations. We did it! Proud to be Filipino-Canadians!
