Help deliver bagged lunches and snacks to students in Saskatoon schools!🍎🚗

We're currently seeking volunteers to support our Innovation School Food Program! This is a weekday, daytime opportunity that runs throughout the school year.

✨Volunteer Perks: $25 a day honourarium and helping children and youth access nourishing food at school so that they can learn and thrive!

SIGA & Dakota Dunes Casino: Supporting Community Food Access in Saskatoon!🥕

Our gratitude and appreciation go out to Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority for funding $5,000 worth of Community Market Coupons for community members to use at our Community Markets, helping support food security for vulnerable families and individuals.

✨Approximately 70% of our Community Market sales are from Community Market Coupons, making the coupons an essential resource for increasing access to fresh, affordable, and nutritious food for community members.

Our office and all operations, including the Station 20 West Community Enterprise Centre Community Market, will be closed on September 30th to give our staff space to reflect, learn, participate, and honour National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. 🧡

We encourage everyone to wear orange and take meaningful time throughout the day to reflect on the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, honour Survivors and the children who never returned home, and consider our collective role in reconciliation.

As we enter the last few days of summer, we're just taking a look back on some of our favourite summer memories...🌞🍒

Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers had many opportunities to connect with our community at various events, like Grillin for Gratitude, Save on Foods Nutrition Tour, intern graduation, and Pride Festival, just to name a few.

We've also had many moments in between that we can't help but share! Like our unplanned matching f***y pack crew—how great is that!?🤓

It has been an abundant season of growing food, education, and community with you all. We're looking forward to continuing our mission of improving access to good food and promoting food security into the next season!🍂

Reducing food waste from our Community Market while creating nourishing food for Chefs in Training and other Cooking Outreach programs? Now that’s a win-win! 🥦💪

👩‍🍳Last week our Cooking Outreach team made veggie concentrate from broccoli, corn, tomatoes, peppers, and mushrooms that weren't fresh enough to sell at our Community Market.
