One of SIGA’s guiding principles, Wîtaskêwin, is about living together on the land, sharing success and giving back to the communities where we live, work and play. One of the ways SIGA gives back is through volunteer efforts.

Today’s post takes us back to May 9, 2026, when volunteers from Northern Lights Casino got outdoors and participated in a community cleanup.

In 2025–26, 32% of SIGA employees contributed more than 5,700 volunteer hours in areas such as community cleanups, food banks, cultural and sporting events, and fundraising initiatives.

Thank you to all SIGA volunteers for the positive difference you continue to make.

As a First Nation owned and operated organization, SIGA is an equal opportunity employer and takes pride in our workforce. SIGA currently employs over 1,700 people in full-time, part-time, and casual positions.

A major milestone has been reached as construction of the new acute care tower at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert has reached the half-way point.

Victoria Hospital has long served as the Gateway to the North. Yet its facilities, built more than forty years ago, no longer meet the needs of the 150,000 people who rely on them each year. More than 24,000 patients bypass Victoria Hospital annually. Not because they want to, but because beds are full or services are unavailable.

The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority is a proud supporter, and last year provided a cheque for $375,000.

June is National Indigenous History Month and SIGA is proud to honor the stories, achievements, and resilience of Indigenous peoples! As a First Nations organization, we are proud to celebrate National Indigenous History Month.

We incorporate traditional First Nations culture at all our sites and our five guiding principles, explained below, encourage balance while incorporating culture for staff members and patrons.

• TÂPWÊWIN: Advocates speaking with precision and accuracy from a business perspective, meaning SIGA must be accountable for its actions and conduct business with integrity, honour and discipline.
• PIMÂCIHOWIN: Stresses the importance of “making a living” and is today’s realization of our First Nations’ treaty relationship.
• MIYO-WÎCÊHTOWIN: The value of getting along with by conducting business in a manner that reflects our First Nations hospitality, traditions, and customs.
• MISKÂSOWIN: Signifies the value of finding one’s sense of origin and belonging.
• WÎTASKÊWIN: Living together on the land. SIGA’s vision “Sharing Success” speaks to the concept of sharing our land or, in today’s terms, sharing resources.

As we continue the path towards reconciliation, it is important to look back and celebrate how far we’ve come.

Our Central Office will be closed June 22, 2026, in observance of National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Slot machines are never due. The odds of hitting the jackpot or bonus are exactly the same on the first spin, as on the fifteen thousandth spin, or any other spin. There are no patterns; it’s random.

Slot machines wins and losses are produced by a Random Number Generator (RNG) and the slots are programmed to average a certain payout percentage over millions of spins. The RNG is not affected by jackpots and a machine that just paid out a jackpot has the exact same odds before and after the jackpot.
