Hey neighbours! Join us for a free outdoor show in Ashworth Holmes Park this Friday, June 5th at 7 PM, brought to us by Sum Theatre Saskatoon
From SUM Theatre, "Theatre in the Park returns with it's 14th season! Featuring live music and giant puppets, this 45-minute show is fun for everyone.
In Taupe Town, the people gather every week to vote on which new colour to paint the town, and every week, they vote for taupe. But what happens when two of the town's youth learn about other colours? Will anyone vote for change? And what happens when someone stands out from the crowd? This year's original story, 'The Colour of the Town' is about democracy, and the power each of us possess to improve our community.
Kick off your summer with Theatre in the Park! Offering an original play free of charge, we perform in neighbourhood parks throughout Saskatchewan in May and June. As always, we create our production in response to current issues. It's fun and thought-provoking performance for people of all ages. Catchy original music and colourful sets, props and costumes bring our stories to life."
A heads up that we won't be running our usual BBQ this year – we're saving our volunteer energy for two other exciting events coming up right after:
🧹 Spring Clean Up – Saturday, June 6th at 9 AM, Caswell Community School
🎨 Art in the Park – June 13 & 14th (it's back!)
Hope to see you there on Friday!
