The Construction Association of Saskatchewan (CASK) was established in 2024 through a unified effort by five construction associations across the province: •Prince Albert Construction Association •Saskatoon Construction Association •Regina Construction Association •Moose Jaw Construction Association •Saskatchewan Construction Association For decades, these organizations played a vital role in se

rving the industry at local and provincial levels. Recognizing the need for a stronger, unified voice, industry leaders came together to create CASK— a unified, forward-thinking association to better serve contractors, trades, consultants, and suppliers. By coming together as one, CASK strengthens the voice of the construction sector, ensuring its members are equipped with the advocacy, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive in an evolving industry.

Today Golf with a Mentor brought our Young Executives out to the course for an afternoon alongside some of Saskatchewan's most experienced construction professionals.

From the first tee to the final hole, participants had the chance to connect with industry mentors and hear real insights from leaders who've been there and built that.

Congratulations to Leon Friesen on receiving an honorary degree in applied studies from Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

Leon's career is the kind that defines our industry. Starting as a journeyperson carpenter, he co-founded Westridge Construction Ltd. in 1989 and led the company for more than 30 years, building not just structures, but a legacy of integrity, quality, and community investment that has earned Westridge a reputation as one of Saskatchewan's most respected construction company.

Leon is also an inductee of the Saskatchewan Construction Hall of Fame, which recognizes individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the advancement of our industry here in the province.

That recognition, paired with this honorary degree from Sask Polytech, speaks to a career built on more than just results, it speaks to leadership, mentorship, and a lifelong commitment to the trades.

We're proud to celebrate Leon as part of the CASK community.
