n Brass Band offers a professionally driven playing and performing environment for musicians with a high commitment to playing and pushing themselves and others to the best of their ability. Saskatoon Brass Band performs a diverse range of repertoire.

- Bridge City Brass Band -
Bridge City Brass Band is a community focused band that offers musicians of every level a relaxed playing environment to perform and develop. BCBB performs in a number of community outreach projects, including collaborations and workshops in schools, concerts in rest homes and for charity events.

- Saskatoon Youth Brass -
SYB is open to any brass or percussion player with at least 1 year experience (ages 12-16). This building ensemble introduces players to brass band repertoire and in a fun and friendly environment, while offering valued instruction to help younger players develop further on their instruments

- Band History-
The Saskatoon Brass Band has been active in Saskatchewan since 1981 when it was founded by Brian Fox and Jim Horne. Their mission was to introduce the fine choral sound of the British brass band to Saskatchewan brass players and audiences, and that remains part of our mandate.

- Registered Charity -
As a federally-registered charity ( ), the band plays several free public concerts a year at seniors homes, hospitals, special care facilities, parks and the farmers' market. You can support our charitable mission through a tax-deductible donation. Please send us a message for more information.

- Band owned Instruments for use by Members -
The band supplies some of the instruments people are unlikely to own, such as cornets and alto horns.

Saddened to hear the passing of one of the true Canadian greats. We were privileged to work with the incredible Ian McDougall in one of his many trips through Saskatoon. Sending all our thoughts to his friends and family at this sad time.

Saskatoon Brass Band Inc. is currently running the 2025 Prairie Music Residency Course this week, July 30th to August 3rd, at the University of Saskatchewan. We have brass band & percussionist musicians of all ages, including students, educators, alumni and university faculty together, from across Saskatchewan, Canada and the U.K. to Saskatoon, for exciting masterclasses, rehearsals, performances and social events. This year, we are proud to host guest Conductor Helen Harrelson and Guest Trombone Soloist Isobel Daws (U.K.) along with Percussion directors Fabrice Marandola and Kristie Ibrahim (Montreal)
Concerts to attend and support this week include :

Friday August 1 - Faculty Recital in Quance Theatre Education building U of S. 7:30pmHear our amazing faculty perform solo sets.
Admission by donation.

Saturday August 2nd 7:30pm Sixtrum percussion ensemble performing for the first time in Saskatchewan. Admission by donation.

Sunday August 3rd - Gala PMR Brass Band and Percussion Ensemble final concerts at 1pm. *Including Suzuki trumpet ages 5-11 workshop performance, with Natalie DeJong. Admission by donation.
