We're pleased to share our 2025–26 Impact Report: Connected by Care.

Inside, you'll meet people like Jacky, who became the first person in Saskatchewan to have her seizures mapped by a donor-funded surgical robot, and Caidence, whose heart condition finally has an answer. You'll also meet the donors, volunteers and community fundraisers who made this year's $5.7 million in new equipment, research and training possible.

And it's the year we passed a huge milestone: $200 million raised in support of health care in Saskatchewan, made possible by your generosity over the past 43 years.

The legacy of Irene and Leslie Dubé continues to improve health care for Saskatchewan patients.💙

Through their generous $2 million gift, Irene and Leslie Dubé made it possible to replace the SPECT/CT technology at Royal University Hospital with a new, advanced system that is helping deliver faster, more comfortable imaging for patients.

Their generosity continues to improve access to advanced diagnostic imaging, ensuring more Saskatchewan residents can receive the care they need, closer to home.

We are deeply grateful for the lasting impact of their gift.

A new SPECT-CT scanner is in place at Royal University Hospital thanks to the generosity of Irene and Leslie Dubé.

Their $2-million gift purchased the scanner, the latest in a lifetime of giving to our hospital and its patients.

We will always be grateful to them and the legacy they created to benefit Saskatchewan patients. 💙

💜 Congratulations to Dr. Erika Penz, one of this year's Women Leading Philanthropy finalists!

Project:
Co-Designing a Women's Peer Navigation and Trust Pathway at RUH.

A project designing better support for young women facing barriers to care, so they're not left without follow-up after a hospital stay.

About Dr. Penz:
Dr. Erika Penz is Associate Professor, clinician researcher and Division Head of Respirology and Sleep Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research is broadly focused on understanding patient-reported/experienced and health system outcomes. She is part of a women-led “Hope Through Strength” research team focused on understanding the broad health impacts of Sanctum 1.5, Canada’s first pre- and post-natal transitional care home serving women living in complex life circumstances.

💜 Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth Miazga, one of this year's Women Leading Philanthropy finalists!

Project:
MyEndo: Advancing App-Based Care for People Affected by Endometriosis and Chronic Pelvic Pain

A free app that will help close the gap for endometriosis patients who wait years for diagnosis and often can't access proven pain treatments.

About Dr. Miazga:
Dr. Elizabeth Miazga is a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon and Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan. She completed medical school, residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and her fellowship at the University of Toronto. She also completed a Master of Laws in Health Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. She practiced medicine in Ontario before returning to her hometown of Saskatoon to continue the work she loves.

Saskatchewan Trauma Clinic Initiative: Improving Care, Advancing Research, and Training the Next Generation

A new clinic at Royal University Hospital offering trauma-informed care and building research to improve treatment across the province.

About Dr. Adams:
Dr. Camelia Adams specializes in mood, anxiety and trauma-related disorders as a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan. She earned her MD in Timisoara, Romania, an MSc in Neuroscience from Western Ontario, and completed residency in Saskatchewan and a fellowship at the University of Toronto. She supervises graduate trainees, has secured federal, provincial, and local funding, and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications.
