Last Wednesday evening, we had the pleasure of initiating our newly Entered Apprentice and fellow Early Risers Toastmasters, Bro. Cairns, into the Craft. 🥃

Thanks to our 1st Degree Director, Bro. Ollerich, for his work in organizing and overseeing the degree. 🥃🥃

It was great to see the Brethren together once again, along with our visiting Brethren who joined us for the evening. 🥃🥃🥃

We look forward to reconnecting with everyone at our upcoming June BBQ (details to be confirmed). Word has it there may even be a BBQ competition in the works stay tuned 👀

Last night, the Brethren of Imperial Lodge made a fraternal visit to Twin City Lodge No. 89 to support their degree team for two Third Degrees. Strong work all around. 🥃

Congratulations to Brothers Diaz and Gonzaga 🥃🥃

Also had the chance to check out a great apron case from VW Bro. Gerein and even spotted an Imperial pin in his collection. 🥃🥃🥃

One of the best parts of Masonry is visiting other Lodges. You show up somewhere new, and right away it feels like you’re among friends. 🤝

Bro. Cuevas made the trip up from Saskatoon to visit Commercial Lodge No. 81. Solid degree team, you could tell a lot of care went into it.

Congratulations to the newly Master Mason Bro. Quiambao and Bro. De Mercato on the organ that made a difference. Music in Lodge isn’t just sound in the background, it changes the whole feel of the room. Bro. Cuevas presented WM Bro. Malo, RW Bro. Marshall, and Bro. Quiambao with a mini apron for their pin collection, along with challenge coins from Imperial Lodge. The Brethren of Commercial Lodge also presented him with one of their challenge coins in return. 🪙

After, it was the usual, food, stories, a lot of laughs. Somehow Bro. Cuevas ended up winning a bottle of scotch…🥃

The Lodge also carries a Scottish tradition called the Quaich, often known as the “cup of friendship.” It’s a simple idea, share a drink, show trust, and welcome someone properly. A small tradition, but it says a lot.

Spearheaded by DDGM RW Bro. Crush, the North West District Regional Meeting wrapped up today. 🥃

Imperial Lodge No. 60 was well represented alongside Brothers ranging from just a few months in the Craft to those with decades of experience behind them. It was great to be part of that mix and shared commitment.

We were also pleased to see Grand Senior Warden RW Bro. Davey and West Central District RW Bro. Frederick in attendance.

A highlight of the day was RW Bro. Barclay’s session on “Masonry & Astronomy,” assisted by VW Bro. Garner, offering a thoughtful and engaging perspective on the work we share.

An evening that reflects what makes Imperial Lodge No. 60 truly special. 🥃

Congratulations to Bros. Hahn and Drover on their proving up, milestones that speak to the effort and care put into their Masonic journey.

We were also fortunate to close the evening with an insightful piece of “Wisdom” from W. Bro. Diamond, District Education Officer for District 9 of the Grand Lodge of British Columbia & Yukon, and now a member of Imperial Lodge No. 60.

Thank you to our April Festive Board for an excellent meal and for creating the space where fellowship continues beyond the meeting. 🥃🥃🥃

As we continue to grow, we’re reminded that the strength of our Craft isn’t measured in numbers alone, but in the character, knowledge, and engagement of the Brethren, something we’re proud to keep building together.

The Masonic Youth Leadership Camp is back for 2026.

👉 Ready to take on new challenges?
👉 Looking to meet new people and build real friendships?
👉 Wanting to grow as a leader and a strong team player?
👉Interested in learning skills that actually stick?

This week is built for that.

Participants will dive into real-life skills like leadership, teamwork, communication, goal setting, and digital awareness. It’s about building confidence, learning how to work with others, and figuring out how to show up in the real world.

And it’s not all workshops.

Other activities throughout the week included camp rules slow pitch, volleyball, slip and slide, water fights, swimming, and culminating with fireworks, dance, and pizza on Thursday evening. 🎆

It’s a full experience. The kind people remember.

Even on a night full of awards, recognition, and history, there’s always room for a little fun.

Our Worshipful Master, Bro. Diaz, gave the Grand Master and his party the Imperial Lodge No. 60 coin and pin. The Grand Master returned the gesture with a gift of his own, a coin numbered 60. 🤝

And of course… W. Bro. Cuevas wore his Chili Cook Off Champion apron during the festive board, just like he promised to the Brethren of Saskatchewan Lodge No. 16 and Elstow Lodge No. 147 earlier this month. 🌶️

Recently at Imperial Lodge, we had the pleasure of recognizing two Brothers on receiving their Master Mason certificates.

Brother Okpoko received his certificate from RW Bro. Moukoumi, Grand JW, alongside our Worshipful Master, WM Bro. Diaz. Another certificate was presented to Brother Myers by MW Bro. Skuce, with WM Bro. Diaz. It’s always good to take a moment to acknowledge the progress and milestones of our Brothers. 🥃🥃🥃
