25,632 km. 26 ice bridges. One very well-travelled maul. 🔨

That was just one part of a great night at Imperial Lodge No. 60!

We welcomed our newest Fellow Crafts, Bro. Kindrat and Bro. Cairns, along with several presentations and plenty of fellowship.

Our Grand Senior Warden, RW Bro. Moukoumi, recognized Bros. Tarasoff and Cuevas for their involvement and support of Masonic Youth Leadership Camp, Bro. Stokalko also shared his thanks to the Brethren of Imperial Lodge No. 60 and spoke about his experience as a camper and camp counsellor, including the lasting impact the camp and its supporters can have on young people. 🤝

Then came some fascinating Masonic history. RW Bros. Crush and Wood shared the story of the Commemorative Travelling Maul, commissioned in 1972 by RW Bro. Roy Elliot to encourage travelling and fraternal visitation.

After travelling 25,632 km, including a journey to Uranium City across 26 ice bridges, the maul has now been retired to Imperial Lodge No. 60.

Bro. Hicks added even more history by sharing the importance of the maul during medieval times. You really can’t make this stuff up! 🏹

We finished the evening with great food, a scotch generously donated by our Brother Secretary, and good fellowship at our September Festive Board. 🍽️

The Brethren of Imperial Lodge No. 60, joined by MW Bro. Skuce, had the chance to catch up, share some memories, and present W Bro. Little with his 50 Years Certificate and Pin.

How cool is that? 50 years in Freemasonry is a pretty incredible milestone. W Bro. Little was initiated in April 1976, and it was great to hear some of the memories and stories along the way. 🥃🥃🥃

Congratulations, W Bro. Little, and thank you for 50 years of dedication to the Craft! 👏

And a reminder that we have a meeting tonight with two FC Degrees. Looking forward to seeing everyone and welcoming our visiting Brethren. Hope to see you all there!

UNITED AT UNITY 🤝

Last Saturday, the Brethren of Imperial Lodge No. 60 made the trip to Unity to meet with the Brethren of Britannia Lodge No. 23.

We were also joined by the Brethren of Ionic Lodge No. 31 and RW Bro. Crush, our DDGM. The afternoon included the Second Degree for Bro. Flynn and Bro. Lopez. 🥃🥃

Britannia Lodge also asked everyone to come dressed for the occasion with an island-inspired theme, and the Brethren took that instruction seriously. 🌺

The meeting was held at the Unity & District Heritage Museum inside ADANAC HALL, one of the longest used Masonic halls in Saskatchewan, in use from 1911 to 2000.

And there’s one particular piece of history there that is still waiting to be opened.

Back in 2000, Unity Freemasons and members of the Order of the Eastern Star sealed a Millennium Time Capsule. It is scheduled to be opened on July 1, 2050 Canada Day.

Until then, the contents remain a mystery.

Thank you to Worshipful Master V.W. Bro. Barr, the Brethren, and the families of Britannia Lodge No. 23 for the warm welcome and the great food. It was especially good to see their spouses and kids join us during the festive board. We appreciate the hospitality and the chance to spend the afternoon together. 🥃🥃🥃

A week of learning, laughter, and leadership at MYLC 2026.

Our IPM, W Bro. Cuevas, along with his family, joined the campers at Green Grove Camp and had the opportunity to be part of their week.

W Bro. Cuevas shared a session on Digital Citizenship, helping campers navigate social media, AI, and the importance of recognizing misinformation.

He also teamed up with Grand Senior Warden RW Bro. Moukoumi for a Taekwondo and self-defence session where campers learned new skills, built confidence, and even stepped up to break boards!

Imperial Lodge No. 60 is proud to support our sponsored camper and all the young leaders who attended this year’s camp. We are especially proud of Mason, the current Scribe/Treasurer of Saskatchewan DeMolay, who continues to represent the values of Masonic youth leadership. Mason is also the grandson of W Bro. Tarasoff.

Thank you to all the volunteers, counsellors, organizers, and sponsors who helped make MYLC 2026 another memorable camp. We are always proud to support Masonic youth and the next generation of leaders.

A HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers and Brethren who came out and helped make this year’s event such a success. From setting up and take down, welcoming visitors, sharing conversations, and everything in between, we appreciate every one of you who gave your time and support.

Father’s Day is over, but we’re squeezing in a late entry. 🤝

Tonight at Imperial Lodge we welcomed Bro. Kindrat as an Entered Apprentice, with his father RW Bro. Kindrat of the Grand Lodge of Manitoba in attendance. 🥃

Thanks to our First Degree Director for assembling the team, and to the degree team for another well-run evening. 🥃🥃

Before we closed, each Brother took a few minutes to share summer plans books being written, martial arts, retirement, new jobs, travel, family time, and at least one plan that sounded like it should come with a waiver.

Congratulations to the Brothers retiring this summer and those stepping into new chapters. Try not to make it look too easy.

Thanks to RW Bro. Crush, NW DDGM, for making the trip to Saskatoon. 🥃🥃🥃

Happy to meet, sorry to part, happy to meet again.
