From construction and entrepreneurship to engineering and education, these accomplished women have followed different paths, embraced unexpected opportunities, overcome challenges, and built successful careers along the way.

Through their stories, they'll share the lessons they've learned, the experiences that shaped them, and the advice they wish they'd received when they were younger.

Students got hands on at Spotlight on Therapies, exploring careers in respiratory therapy, speech language pathology, recreational therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy!

We are excited to welcome Dr. Sean Lessard as a keynote speaker at the 2026 Mind Over Matters Mental Health Conference!

A Woodland Cree member of Montreal Lake Cree Nation, Dr. Lessard is an award-winning educator, researcher, author, and professor at the University of Alberta.

His work reminds us that relationships, culture, identity, and a sense of belonging play a powerful role in the lives and well-being of young people.

Through his experiences working alongside Indigenous youth, families, and communities, Dr. Lessard brings a meaningful perspective on the importance of connection and creating spaces where every young person feels seen, valued, and supported.
