Our Speech-Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists make a pretty great team đź’›

Communication, feeding, sensory processing, emotional regulation, play, and daily routines are all connected. By working collaboratively, our SLPs and OTs are able to share perspectives, align goals, and create support plans that look at the whole child — not just one piece of the puzzle.

Together, they help children build skills, confidence, and independence in ways that are meaningful to their everyday lives. Because when care is connected, support is stronger. ✨

The Menopause Cafe looks a little bit different this month! With everyone's busy schedules, we opted for a video presentation by our own Taylor Rak about Exercising Through Menopause!

Taylor recently completed her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan and is passionate about helping people move, feel, and function at their best.

Taylor takes an evidence-based, client-centred approach to care, supporting individuals with injuries, pain, post-surgical recovery, strength and mobility goals, and returning to the activities they love. With a strong background in exercise prescription and rehabilitation, she enjoys helping clients build confidence through movement at every stage of life.

In this video, Taylor shares valuable insights on menopause and how to optimize exercise during this important transition. Whether you're navigating perimenopause, menopause, or supporting someone who is, this is information you won't want to miss!

Keep an eye out for future announcements about The Menopause Cafe!

✨Meet Your Village ✨

Meet Katie Schaffer đź’›
Katie is a Registered Psychologist with her Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE), specializing in psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents age 6+. She supports families in identifying learning disabilities, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and other challenges that may impact learning and school success.

With years of experience working within school systems, Katie is passionate about helping children feel seen, understood, and supported in reaching their full potential. As a mom herself, she understands the questions and worries that can come with parenting — and approaches every assessment with compassion, collaboration, and care.

We’re so grateful she’s part of our Village. ✨
