The Ukrainian Canadian Congress of Saskatchewan is a provincial organization that provides programs and services for the Saskatchewan community to maintain, develop and share its Ukrainian Canadian identity and aspirations. The Ukrainian Dance Outreach program at UCC- SPC strives to obtain goals that will provide:
-better and more coordinated support of Saskatchewan's Ukrainian dance community;
-

networking opportunities for Ukrainian dance community stakeholders (volunteers, instructors, dancers, supporters);
-increased collaboration and cooperation among dance community members;
-enhanced opportunities for Ukrainian dancers to find employment in the cultural sector of their cultural genre;
-an effective, accessible, sustainable and relevant communication, information and support program for UCC- SPC for Saskatchewan's Ukrainian dance community.

Hi, my name is Brian Senderewich.

My love for Ukrainian Dance started 14 years ago when I started dancing at the age of 11- many would say this was a late start, but I believe you're never too old to start something you're passionate about.

Fortunately my intro to dance was under the amazing instructor Jason Sliva at the Yalenka Ukrainian Dance Club, in Calder Saskatchewan (2013-15). I then followed Jason to the Yorkton Troyanda Dance Ensemble (2016-17). I continued to pursue dance after high school, which led me to the Rusulka Dance Ensemble in Wpg (one year). I then moved to Brandon where I danced with their group, Troyanada. Following that I competed for two years which is how I began choreographing my own duets and solos.

My next chapter continued with my performances at the CNUF and teaching the next generation of Ukrainian dancers- where it all began, my home town Roblin, Manitoba.
