African Women's Support Network Women-POWER-ment. Mission: To utilize African women's unique gifts and talents for their well-being, families, and African women around the world.

Our support group is a safe and confidential environment where women of African descent can have the opportunity to share, learn and develop friendships. Started July 2010, unsatisfied with the lack of services for both immigrant and Afro-Canadian women, we established a group where ladies could bring their children, share stories and experiences as a newcomer and help each other in an informal s

etting. Our members include women from a variety of African countries, and of the African Diaspora who are committed to giving African women a voice (politically and spiritually) regarding issues that affect them in their communities and back home.
