Had a productive meeting today with representatives from HealthCareCAN to discuss Bill S-233.

Healthcare workers and first responders deserve to feel safe while serving our communities. Thank you for your advocacy and continued work supporting those on the front lines across Canada.

And thank you for supporting the swift passage of Bill S-233.

Sometimes the smallest rescues leave the biggest impact. 🐾

Shoutout to some of our Saskatoon Paramedics who assisted the Saskatoon Fire Department during a recent structure fire, helping safely rescue kittens from the building.

From working alongside our emergency service partners to caring for even the smallest lives, moments like these reflect the compassion and teamwork our crews bring to every call.

It’s National Paramedic Services Week, and this year’s theme is “Improving Outcomes, Together.”

“Improving Outcomes, Together” goes beyond patient care. It means giving people hope in difficult moments. It means strong partnerships between healthcare workers, hospitals, and community services. It also means supporting the people behind the profession through fair compensation, safe staffing, access to mental health supports, responsive leadership, and opportunities to learn and grow throughout their careers.

Through collaboration, and continuing education and research, paramedics bring advanced training, clinical skill, compassion, and adaptability to communities across Saskatoon and our province. Long before a patient reaches the hospital, critical decisions and care are already shaping outcomes. Prehospital care is continuing to advance and make an impactful difference in patient’s lives.

This week, the Saskatoon Paramedic Association recognizes the paramedics working behind the uniform, those who continue to show up for others, no matter the hour or circumstance.

Together, we continue improving outcomes for the communities we serve.
