Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corp #45 Jervis Bay meets every Tuesday evening from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, September to May at HMCS Unicorn. We will be accepting new registrations all year. Jervis Bay is a local youth Sea Cadet organization for youth 12 through 18 years of age who have the opportunity to participate in various activities and learn many new skills, such as Sailing, Seamanship and Ropework, Bi

athlon, Marksmanship, Map and Compass, and much, much more throughout the training year. The cadets also recieve self values, such as self-discipline, self-confidence, and respect for themselves and other, which can all still be applied after they have long left the cadet world. Cadets get to participate in several other activities and community events, such as Military Commemorative Parades, Training Weekends, Seasonal Parties, Swimming, and much much more. During the summer Sea Cadets have the opportunity to go to summer training camps all over Canada at HMCS Quadra, HMCS Acadia, and HMCS Ontario to take courses such as Gunner, Boatswain, Sail, Music, Marine Engineer, and many more. Cadets are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their communities. They learn valuable life and work skills like teamwork, leadership, and citizenship. Cadets also reap the personal benefits of increased self-confidence, learning how to take initiative, and how to make decisions. Cadets make valuable contributions to Canadian society on a daily basis in terms of citizenship and community activities. The objectives include the physical and mental training of children ages 12 through 18. Our governing body is Department of National Defense (DND).
