Applications are now open for Navigating Horizons!

Navigating Horizons is a new Indigenous youth leadership program designed to help youth build confidence, develop new skills, connect with mentors and Elders, give back to their communities, and have fun along the way.

We're currently recruiting youth ages 12–25 from:
📍 Meadow Lake
📍 La Ronge
📍 Buffalo Narrows
📍 Île-à-la-Crosse
📍 Fort Qu'Appelle
📍 Yorkton

Additional communities will be added in the near future.

Youth who participate will have opportunities to:

✅ Meet new people and build friendships
✅ Participate in cultural activities and community events
✅ Gain volunteer and workplace experience
✅ Connect with Elders, mentors, and community leaders
✅ Earn certifications and develop leadership skills
✅ Explore future career opportunities, including business and finance
✅ Take part in fun activities, incentives, and exciting trips throughout the program

We're also looking to connect with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, cultural teachers, mentors, and community members who would like to help support and inspire youth in their communities.

If you know a young person who might be interested or if you'd like to get involved as a mentor or community supporter, we'd love to hear from you.

A historic weekend for Friendship Centre Movement in Saskatchewan

The Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan is honoured to officially welcome Kineepik Friendship Centre and Beauval Indigenous Friendship Centre as the newest members of our provincial Friendship Centre family.

Their addition marks an important step forward in strengthening Indigenous-led services, supports, and cultural connections for urban Indigenous people and families across Saskatchewan. As our movement continues to grow, so too does our collective ability to respond to community needs, create opportunities, and foster belonging for all.

Friendship Centres have served as places of welcome, culture, advocacy, and community for generations. Today, we celebrate the leaders, volunteers, and community members in Pinehouse and Beauval whose vision, dedication, and commitment have brought these centres to life.

With the addition of Kineepik Friendship Centre and Beauval Indigenous Friendship Centre, our provincial network continues to expand its reach and impact, ensuring more Indigenous people have access to culturally grounded spaces where they can connect, heal, learn, and thrive.

Please join us in extending a warm Friendship Centre welcome to these two incredible communities as they begin this exciting new chapter within the movement.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we are building the future of the Friendship Centre Movement in Saskatchewan.
