Another event that starts Friday, June 5th is the Driving Clinic at copper T Stables (near Saskatoon, Sk) being put on by the Prairie Carriage Club. They are welcoming auditors ($20 a day or $50 for all three days) so if you are interested in learning about driving this could be the event for you! It will start at 10:00am. Coffee and water are available, but bring your own cup/mug! We hope to see you there as we have a couple of our own members participating.

Just a reminder for everyone who wants to get out and about this summer or compete with their own team or single horse, registration for this event is live! Go to the Grasswood horse park website and to their events page to get registered! If you are wanting to watch an event that is becoming more and more popular it will be at the Grasswood Horse park on June 27th! We hope to see you there!

This is a Showmanship clinic for Junior handlers that want to learn how to show a draft horse. This will be followed by a small Showmanship show to show off their newly learned skills.
It will be held in Birtle Manitoba and has a deadline entry date of May 29, 2026.

The family and friends of Tommy Rowley of Yorkton, sadly announce his passing on November 6, 2025. Tommy was 78 years of age. This past weekend our members Amanda Van De Kerckhove (The Fox and Flo Carriage Co), Kristin Arthur (with volunteers)and Mikhaela Thrasher gave free wagon rides and ride a Clyde rides at the opening day at the Grasswood Horse Park. Thanks to everyone who came out and braved the winds!

We here at the SCA want to do a huge shout out to Kristen and Shane Arthurs of K & S Clydesdales of the amazing job they did in running the open house/fundraiser for the SCA at their farm last week! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make it happen and to everyone who came out and participated! Over 200 clyde rides were given, multiple wagon rides, as well as many hot dogs and cans of pop sold and consumed!
