About the Facilitator
Taliza is a proud Kichwa artist, linguist, and cultural advocate from Imbabura, Ecuador. Raised by her grandparents, she grew up immersed in Kichwa language, stories, and traditions. For Taliza, dance is a powerful form of expression that carries ancestral knowledge and preserves cultural identity.
After moving to Canada, she founded Muyu Dance, an initiative dedicated to sharing Andean culture and fostering intercultural understanding through movement.

About Muyu Dance
Muyu Dance is more than a dance group; it’s a bridge between cultures, lands, and generations. Rooted in the traditions of the Kichwa people of Imbabura, the group brings together participants from diverse backgrounds to learn, honor, and celebrate ancestral knowledge.

Through performances and workshops in Saskatoon, Muyu Dance creates joyful, respectful spaces that keep traditions alive while building meaningful connections across communities.

Come dance, learn, and connect!
