At 8 years old, Ben walked into LDAS sessions with a mind full of questions and a way of seeing the world that didn’t fit neatly into boxes.

What could have been framed as challenge quickly became something else entirely, curiosity that stuck, ideas that connected, and learning that started to spill into everything from Earth Sciences to math, reading, and even Lego builds with real engineering logic behind them.

Session by session, Ben showed that when learning matches how a student thinks, progress doesn’t just happen, it accelerates. And alongside his mother’s advocacy and his own drive, that progress opened doors back into the classroom.

We’re grateful to have been part of his journey so far, and even more excited for where his questions will take him next. 🩵
