Join us this Saturday for a walk Memorializing the Saskatoon Natural Grasslands. 3:00pm Saturday May 2nd. Nature plays a critical role in our cities. Often times despite our best efforts, conservation is not able to preserve a space in its native state. The walk will be an opportunity to memorialize the loss of plant diversity in the Grasslands and to share stories on the impact of loss of natural spaces and native plants within urban conservation areas.

Trees = Clean water. 🫶Planting trees help filter runoff before it reaches our waterbodies – that’s watershed stewardship in action!

This year we have 12 species available for the Saskatchewan Tree for Life Program - including Red Osier Dogwoods and Smoky Saskatoons❗️

👉SUPPLIES ARE LIMITED – order yours today!

Cases of Dutch elm disease (DED) reached a record high in Saskatoon last season, putting the city’s beautiful elm canopy at risk.🌳While the disease is serious, simple actions can make a difference. One of the most important is following the provincial elm pruning ban in effect from April 1 to August 31, 2026, which helps prevent the spread during peak beetle season.
