After engaging with the Saskatoon Curling Clubs, the Granite Board has determined a way to disburse Granite's remaining funds.

As per the Non-Profit Corporations Act: "A sale, lease or exchange of all or substantially all the property of a corporation, other than in the ordinary course of carrying on the activities of the corporation, requires the approval of the members..."

The Special General Meeting for Granite Curling Club members has been set for Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sutherland Curling Club Lounge, 141 Jessop Ave, Saskatoon.

Good Evening Folks,

It's been a while... as voted on at the AGM in November, the Granite Curling Club Board of Directors was tasked with the process of selling and process of dissolution.

After engaging in a bidding process, the board has agreed on the tentative sale of the club.

As per the Non-Profit Corporations Act: "A sale, lease or exchange of all or substantially all the property of a corporation, other than in the ordinary course of carrying on the activities of the corporation, requires the approval of the members..."

The Special General Meeting for Granite Curling Club members has been set for Monday, May 29th 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Granite in the Lounge.

It is with a heavy heart that the Granite Board of Directors regrets to inform its Members and the Community that the club will not be able to operate for the 2022-2023 season.

Over this past weekend (after 3 weeks of completing repairs) the ice plant was fired up, which quickly and unexpectedly produced new brine leaks through the concrete. As the building is nearing 100 years old, the board recognizes that this is a concern that must be addressed before it is possible to reopen the facility.
