Saskatchewan youth basketball league:
▪ Junior Division ages 11-14
▪ Senior Division ages 15-17
Developing skills on the basketball court while offering workshops that address social and cultural topics. with support of the Government of Canada and other community stakeholders have developed the Living Skies Indigenous Basketball League. This program will not only involve Basketball, but it will a

lso help to address the social and economic issues of Indigenous youth across the Friendship Centre communities & surrounding areas.

One of the best to ever wear the Green & Gold 🫡

A coach in the Living Skies Indigenous Basketball for the last three years, Jade Belmore wrapped her five-year career at the University of Regina earlier this month.

Belmore departs the Cougars as the program’s all-time career leader in both points and rebounds, and also as one of the most decorated Cougars in program history.

She did it all while being as big a contributor off of the court, as evidenced by her Canada West Student-Athlete Community Service Award in 2025 — won in part to her contributions as a coach with Living Skies.

Playing in her home province since 2021, Jade has been an inspiration to Saskatchewan youth since the jump.

And while her time as a Cougar is now complete, she hopes she's still able to give back to Saskatchewan youth — just as the Regina basketball community once did for her.

We're looking for coaches in Saskatoon & Regina to help coach our Sr. Division this Spring! 🌾🏀

If you're looking for a great way to give back, mentor youth and support community basketball -- this would be an amazing opportunity for you!

Our season gets underway soon, with practices held once a week, tournaments hosted in Saskatoon on April 19th and May 3rd, before our Provinical Championships on May 30th and 31st in Martensville!

The Living Skies Indigenous Basketball provides a cost-free, inclusive space for athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and compete in a supportive, team-first environment. Alongside games and practices, athletes will continue to experience mentorship, workshops, and the cultural teachings that makes the league unique.
