We are proud to share the success of our 123rd Annual Ceremonial Review that happened on Saturday, June 13th, 2026!

This important milestone event showcased the dedication, discipline, and growth of our cadets over the past training year. We were honoured to have Les Jones, Past President of Sarnia Legion Branch 62, serve as our Reviewing Officer.

With 25 cadets on parade, they demonstrated outstanding dress, drill, and deportment, reflecting the hard work and commitment they have put in throughout the year. We couldn’t be prouder of their efforts and achievements.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support this special occasion, and to those who helped make it possible:
- Our cadet parents and families, for their continued support and for the time and effort they put into transporting their cadets to ensure they can participate in all events
- Sarnia Legion Branch 62
- Sarnia Moose Lodge 1046 - Loyal Order of Moose
- Sarnia Legion Pipe Band
- Sarnia Police Service
- Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce
- Lambton College
- City of Sarnia

Your continued support of our program and our cadets means so much to us.

Congratulations to all of our cadets on a fantastic year, and best of luck to those attending summer training at Blackdown Cadets / Cadets de Blackdown, we know you will represent our unit with pride!

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled
By Natalia Vega.

Thanks Sarnia News Today, for a well research, fact based piece of reporting.

June 5, 2026 - 1:05pm
A new military crosswalk honoring Ojibwe, French, and English communities, will officially be unveiled in downtown Sarnia.
As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

In a community invitation, Legion President Ron Realesmith said the three languages were incorporated to reflect the diverse communities that have shaped the region.
"These languages honour the First Nations, French, and English communities who have stood in defense of Canada, and the generations of Canadians from all backgrounds who have worn the uniform, many of whom paid the ultimate sacrifice," read a statement. "By including all three languages, we acknowledge that remembrance is not the story of one group, but of many. It is a shared history of courage, service, and unity."

The Ojibwe wording, "Gaawiin ka-nenmaasiinaanik" means "Don't forget about them," and the French wording, "Nous nous souviendrons," means "We Will Remember." In English, the text reads, "We Will Remember/ Lest We Forget".
Representatives from the Canadian Armed Forces, local cadet units, the pipe band, and members of the Royal Canadian Legion will take part in Sunday's ceremony.

Members of the public are invited to attend.
The intersection of Christina Street and Wellington Street will be closed to through traffic on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to accommodate the ceremony.

The Veterans Park Crosswalk, near the Sarnia Library, was unveiled in 2022.
