2026 OBOL Program

Registration provides registrants with:

~General membership in Sandy Lake Water Protection Working Group Inc.
~Participation in Annual General Meeting of SL-WPWG Inc each July.
~Opportunity to participate in planning and delivery of water quality program activities.
~Opportunity to promote the 2026 OBOL program by attaching stickers to each watercraft
registered and provide visual recognition by AIS Inspectors.

Annual Watercraft Registration Fees 2026 (payments with debit or credit card preferred)
~Trailered Watercraft - Ski boat, fishing boat, wake boat, sea doo $20 ea.
~Non-Trailered Watercraft - Canoe, kayak, paddle board $5 ea.

No Inspection & Registration Blitz at Sandy Lake for 2026
This year we will not be holding an Inspection & Registration Blitz. In 2025, we did hold one but the turnout was extremely low because most trailered watercraft wanting to use Sandy Lake were registered from the previous year and were secured to their trailer with a OBOL security tie.

On May 4th 2026, the gates around Sandy Lake will be locked and we will begin inspecting watercraft at the Main Street Boat Launch.

~If your watercraft was registered in the Sandy Lake OBOL Program last year and is attached to its trailer with an intact OBOL cable tie, you can register for the 2026 program at the Main Street Boat Launch during our regular hours of operation. There is no need to have your watercraft inspected.

~For other watercraft, present a clean, drained, and DRY watercraft for AIS inspection at the Main Street Boat Launch. The inspection fee is $20 and can be used to join the OBOL Program if your watercraft passes the inspection.

~For watercraft registered in the 2026 OBOL Program: Present the watercraft with the 2026 OBOL Program cable tie intact and attached to its trailer. An AIS Inspector will remove the cable tie and clear you to launch without an inspection. A new cable tie will be used to reattach your watercraft to its trailer on exiting Sandy Lake.

Cable tie removal and reattached:

~Main Street Boat Launch by Sandy Lake AIS Watercraft Inspectors
~At Ed-Venture Bay by Jon Misanchuk for his patrons only
~At West Bend by Barry Burton – (2️⃣0️⃣4️⃣) 5️⃣8️⃣6️⃣-2️⃣4️⃣6️⃣0️⃣ or (2️⃣0️⃣4️⃣) 7️⃣2️⃣4️⃣-0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣2️⃣
