A big THANK-YOU to the Score store for the donation towards the Sandy Lake Endowment Fund!

Last week was Giving Week for our community endowment funds.

During this challenge, the Winnipeg Foundation matched donations by 40 percent, which means every gift goes even further.

Because of our generous shoppers, donors and incredible volunteers who work tirelessly, we are proud to share that we were able to give back in a very meaningful way.

We donated:
$1000 to the Erickson Endowment Fund
$1000 to the Sandy Lake Endowment Fund
$1000 to the Onanole Foundation
$500 to the Richard and Kaey Golletz Fund
$350 to the Trails Manitoba Endowment Fund

Next grant application deadline is December 5th!

In June 2025 the Endowment Fund gave out $22,000 towards the following projects in our community!
- Sandy Lake/Elphinstone Handi-Van- $10,000 towards the purchase of the new Handi-van
-Larry Woytowich Sports Park- $3000 towards the new fence project
-Sandy Lake Drop-In- $4000 towards the new roof project
-Age Friendly Initiative- $5000 towards Picnic Shelter being built this fall (picture to come)
Next grant applications will be in December 2025!

A big THANK YOU to the Sandy Lake Endowment Fund for your continued support towards our projects!
With the endowment fund's help this past winter, we were able to purchase 15 new 8' plastic tables for the Rec. Centre.

expenditures. Consumable and operating expenditures

Now is the time to help your community flourish forever!
Give to your community foundations’ UNRESTRICTED FUNDS and help them reach their Giving Challenge goal.

Every gift made during this week will be stretched by The Winnipeg Foundation and the Manitoba government – increasing the amount your foundation receives. Your community foundation can receive up to an additional $4,000.

For every $5 donated to the Sandy Lake Endowment Fund the Winnipeg Foundation donates $1 and the Manitoba Government donates a $1. So your $5 BECOMES $7!!!!
