Join Woodley’s Kitchen, and the Harbour House Hotel this December for a heartwarming celebration of community and generosity. Where the spirit of Christmas truly comes alive! This year, we’re excited to unveil "Grand in Hand," as we come together to show just how many helping hands we have on Salt Spring Island.
The Festival of Trees promises to be a magical experience, beautifully adorned with festive decorations that capture the joy of the season. Each tree will tell its own story, showcasing the creativity and spirit of our island community. Throughout the month, we invite everyone to visit and bask in the warmth of holiday cheer.
In the spirit of giving, we will be collecting monetary donations for community initiatives and non-perishable food items will go to the food bank. Funds raised will go towards purchasing gift certificates from our local laundromat, distributing donated gifts and trees just as previous years, ensuring that those in need receive a little extra support this holiday season!
Let’s come together to spread Christmas joy and make a meaningful impact! Whether you’re a local or a visitor, your contributions will light up the lives of many. Join us in celebrating the true essence of Christmas—community, compassion, and connection. 🎁✨

Cost: Free! Donations for local community initiatives welcomed
Ways you can participate
- Food donations for the SSI Food Bank accepted at the hotel
- Drop of gifts for kids in need we are in contact with the schools directly and drop off items quietly to homes that are need a helping hand
- Monetary donations for the Copper Kettle collected at the hotel
