Pink Piston Paddlers The Pink Piston Paddlers were formed in 2006 to promote breast cancer awareness, and to promote fitness and wellness.

The Pink Piston Paddlers was formed in 2006 to promote breast cancer awareness. We compete in festivals as a breast cancer team and we have competed in the International Breast Cancer Survivor Festival in Australia in 2007, Italy in 2018 and headed for New Zealand in 2023. We also compete in a local festival in Salmon Arm as well as other festivals within in BC that have a carnation ceremony. The

Pink Piston Paddlers paddle out of Salmon Arm BC, under the auspices of SRPC, the local rowing and paddling assoc. Practices are held Wednesdays at 6:00pm and run from May to September. have
To increase stamina and improve paddling techniques a Monday practice will be added if there are enough members.

Today we celebrated Kathy. She was a founding member of the Pink Piston Paddlers, then went on to be a founding member of Spirit Warriors in Kamloops.  she was a vibrant member of the paddling community. We will miss her.

B.C. Cancer is looking to integrate exercise into its recovery program for cancer patients as soon as they're diagnosed, with one Kelowna doctor saying that research has shown that "prehabilitation" with exercise helps with long-term recovery.
