Our clients have been fully immersed in their creativity, enjoying arts and crafts while our wonderful childminder, Chika, looked after their little ones.

These beautiful mini theatres will be on display at our Multicultural Festival on Saturday, June 27, at Ross Plaza.

A heartfelt thank you to Cathy for incorporating art into our weekly routine and inspiring everyone’s creativity.

We look forward to seeing you all again on Wednesday, July 8!

British Columbians can now take the knowledge test required for their Class 5–8 passenger vehicle and motorcycle Learner’s licence online — from the comfort of home.

This new option makes it easier to access testing, especially for people who have difficulty getting to an office. It will also help reduce wait times at driver licensing locations across BC.

• Same test as in-person
• Available in 12 languages
• Secure, with monitoring to protect test integrity

Prefer to test in person? In-office testing is still available.

After passing online, you’ll still need to visit a driver licensing office, Driver Licensing Agent or Service BC location for a vision test, photo, and to get your learner’s licence issued.

National Indigenous History Month is a time to learn, reflect and take action.
Since time immemorial, Indigenous Peoples have lived on and cared for the lands we now know as British Columbia. Today, the province is home to more than 200 First Nations, each with distinct languages, cultures and ways of knowing.

We also recognize the rich cultures of Métis and Inuit peoples.

This month, we reflect on the ongoing work of reconciliation and recognize the strength and resilience of Indigenous Peoples. https://declaration.gov.bc.ca/

On June 1, 2026, BC's minimum wage will go up to $18.25 an hour. There are around 141,000 people earning minimum wage in BC and increases help workers keep up with the cost of everyday essentials.

Since 2024, minimum wage increases have been automatically linked with inflation, based on the previous year’s rate. This approach provides regular, predictable increases, helping workers plan their finances while giving businesses time to prepare.

Thousands of census employees across the country are helping collect data that are vital to improving the lives of Canadians. These are your family, friends or neighbours making a difference for your community.

If you haven't completed your questionnaire yet and we follow up with you, here’s how to recognize official census communications:

đź“© Reminder letters will be sent by mail or delivered in person, which will contain a secure access code to complete the census questionnaire online.

🪪 In person follow-ups will be conducted by employees with an identification card.

📱 Text message reminders may also be sent from the text message short code number 236732.

📞 If a follow-up phone call to a household is needed, the census employees will identify themselves clearly.
