Because of you, a child will get their first week at camp.

This year, our community showed up for LemonAID Day and raised an incredible $18,564.30 for the Elgin Children's Foundation.

That number means campfires. New friendships. A kid discovering who they can be, one week at a time. For some, it's their first night ever away from home. For others, it's the first time they truly feel like they belong.

Camp isn't just a week away, it's confidence that lasts a lifetime.
A huge thank you to the partners who made the day happen: Doug Tarry Homes (title sponsor), Wendy's (lemonade!), McBain Signs & Graphics, and New Era Grafix.

But most of all, thank YOU. Every glass of lemonade, every donation, every person who showed up, you built this. You are this community. 💛

One home can change a child's whole world. Right now, Elgin needs more people willing to open their door.

There's no single picture of what that looks like. Single, coupled, retired, renting, with kids already at home or without: what matters isn't your household type. It's being steady, safe, and willing to show up.

Curious what fostering really looks like? Hear it straight from Elgin caregivers. Watch the videos - here is a link to our YouTube channel;

We need homes that reflect Elgin's diversity, because the kids we support do too. If you've wondered whether fostering is for someone like you, it is.

Thank You for Making LemonAID Day a Huge Success!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Doug Tarry Homes LemonAID Day in support of the Elgin Children’s Foundation such a meaningful success once again.

Whether you hosted a stand, stopped by for a cup, spread the word, or made a donation, your support truly made a difference.

A special thank you goes out to the sponsors, schools, children and youth, adults, families, and workplace teams who all came together to support children and families across Elgin. This event would not have been possible without the generosity, commitment, and community spirit of all those involved.

We are still in the process of finalizing the total amount raised, and we look forward to sharing the grand total once it is confirmed. In the meantime, it’s not too late to contribute—online donations are still open for anyone who would like to support this important cause.

🍋 A sweet stand with a big heart! 💛

This Saturday, June 13th at 10 AM, we’re proud to host the Doug Tarry Homes LemonAid Stand at the St. Thomas Real Canadian Superstore in support of the Elgin Children’s Foundation.

The myFM team, along with Abode Home Comfort, will be serving up lemonade and raising funds to help send local kids to camp.

If you’re stopping by for groceries, take a moment to stop by the stand, grab a lemonade, and support an incredible local cause. Every little bit helps!

(I know where you’ll find me on my breaks!)

🍋 LemonAID Day 2026 – June 13 🍋

Looking for something fun (and meaningful) to do with your kids this summer?

Doug Tarry Homes LemonAID Day for the Elgin Children’s Foundation is a chance for families across Elgin County to set up a simple lemonade stand and raise money to help send local kids to summer camp. It’s one day, a bit of fun, and a really big impact.
Your kids get to be part of something bigger—helping other kids have the chance to explore, make friends, and just enjoy being a kid.

We’ll take care of the setup—lemonade supplies, t-shirts, signage, and even an online fundraising page. You just bring the energy.
Can’t do June 13? No problem—you can run your stand another day that works for your family.

Spots are limited, so if you’re thinking about it, don’t wait too long.

We are so grateful for our amazing community partner Doug Tarry Homes

The 2025 LemonAID Day campaign officially launched with a vibrant kickoff event in St. Thomas, gathering key sponsors, local organizations, and community leaders to help spread the word. Hosted by the Elgin Children’s Foundation and supported by Doug Tarry Homes, the event served as an energizing reminder of what this campaign is all about: helping local children attend summer camp through the power of community generosity.
LemonAID Day, taking place Saturday, June 13, invites families, businesses, and groups across Elgin County to set up lemonade stands and raise funds to support children in need. Each registered stand receives a starter kit that includes lemonade mix, cups, signage, t-shirts, and banners, making it easy for participants to get involved and make a visible impact.

This kickoff was not just a celebration it was a call to action. More organizations, businesses, and individuals are encouraged to join the initiative by hosting their own stand or supporting one in their neighborhood. With strong community involvement, LemonAID Day has the potential to provide life-changing camp experiences for dozens of local youth.
