Join us for the 15th annual Walk With Me event, bringing together front-line service providers from across St. Thomas-Elgin to exchange ideas, strengthen referral networks, and collaborate on solutions that address barriers in our communities.
The event includes a PD session, “Walking Alongside: Culturally Grounded Practice with Immigrant Clients”, presented by Dr. Samoon Tasmim, and a service provider showcase.

Babysitting Course – Registration is NOW OPEN!

Ready to build confidence, responsibility and valuable caregiving skills? The Red Cross Babysitting Course is designed for youth ages 11–15 who want to learn how to safely care for children and babies.

Participants will learn:
✨ Leadership, responsibility & decision-making
✨ Understanding children’s developmental stages
✨ Feeding, diapering, dressing & age-appropriate play
✨ How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations
✨ How to respond to emergencies
✨ Basic first aid skills
✨ Tips for promoting themselves as babysitters to families

A great way for youth to gain practical skills, confidence and experience!

🧡 Save the Date: Orange Shirt Day/National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Community Gathering 🧡

Join the City of St. Thomas on Wednesday, September 30 as we come together downtown for an afternoon of reflection, learning, and community connection.

This annual gathering has continued to grow each year, bringing hundreds of community members together to honour Survivors of residential schools, their families, those who never returned home, and Indigenous communities.

📍 City Hall | St. Thomas Public Library | Westlake-Evans Park
🕛 12:00 p.m. start

The afternoon will feature Indigenous cultural performances, guest speakers, educational displays, community organizations, vendors, and more.

This free event is open to everyone. We encourage attendees to wear orange and join us in listening, learning, and reflecting together.
