We’re thrilled to introduce Leanna as part of the cast of Top Girls by Caryl Churchill, presented by the Elgin Theatre Guild at the Historic Princess Avenue Playhouse.

From the Director-

One of the things an audience rarely gets to see is growth. They get the final picture but not necessarily the path that led the way. I asked something of her that is incredibly difficult. She knew the climb would be steep and she jumped in anyway. From start to finish the growth has been exponential. She brings grace and calm one minute and fiery rage the next! I am so proud of her for all she has accomplished on this journey

From the Director-

So much growth...So much. I have been working with Kirsten for just over two years now and every time she takes a new class or enters a new project, she just keeps getting better. Her work ethic is impeccable and her dedication is admirable. It has been a pleasure watch her face and overcome difficult challenges. In Gret, she plays a woman who has lost everything and rather than let it defeat her she rages against her oppressors. You do not want to miss her take on this powerful role.

Meet Kim Braine-Ott ! 🎭

We’re thrilled to introduce Kim as part of the cast of Top Girls by Caryl Churchill, presented by the Elgin Theatre Guild at the Historic Princess Avenue Playhouse.

From the Director-

Kim first strolled into my life a few summers ago as part of class I was running at the seniors centre. It was clear from the jump that she had a knack for play and loved to act. From there she has been a Tornado ever since, taking on any and all challenges that come her way. My favorite thing about her is that there is no obstacle to high for her. She displays vulnerability and bravery in equal measure and significantly adds to any scene she is in.

Top Girls takes us into a world of ambition, power, work, family, and the complicated choices women make while pursuing success. A celebrated dinner party brings together extraordinary women from history and legend—and opens the door to questions that remain remarkably relevant today.

Meet Sile Ferguson! 🎭

We’re thrilled to introduce Sile as part of the cast of Top Girls by Caryl Churchill, presented by the Elgin Theatre Guild at the Historic Princess Avenue Playhouse.

From the Director-

I have enjoyed working with Sile, for the better part of two years now. Sile always sticks the landing and brings considerable warmth and charm to her role as Griselda, a role that requires grace under subjugation. I never worry when she is in my cast as I have faith that she will always find the right way to nail the part. She is constant search of growth and achieves that with each role and project she takes on. You do not want to miss the duality she displays between Griselda and Nell.

Meet Amelie Merchant! 🎭

We’re thrilled to introduce Amélie as part of the cast of Top Girls by Caryl Churchill, presented by the Elgin Theatre Guild at the Historic Princess Avenue Playhouse.

From the Director-

Amélie comes from a family of performers, all of whom I have had the pleasure to work with. This play had a requirement for two youthful roles that deal with very challenging circumstances. She utilizes her stage time to utmost in her role as Kit, Angie's best and only friend. She's a pro already and brings life and innocence to a very nuanced role. She embodies the part with an eagerness and energy that gives full life to her character. The future is very bright for her.

Meet Dinah Watts! 🎭

We’re thrilled to introduce Dinah as part of the cast of Top Girls by Caryl Churchill, presented by the Elgin Theatre Guild at the Historic Princess Avenue Playhouse.

From the Director-

From the moment Dinah did her audition I knew I was in for a treat. She is simply brilliant. Every single time she steps on stage she is open to whatever possibility a scene may hold. Her instincts are impeccable and watching her consistently find new ways to bring more and more nuance to the roles of Isabella and Louise is a delight. This is a woman who understands the power of a look, a gesture, a silence as well as the importance of connection. In the Director/Actor relationship there are plenty of opportunities to learn as well. I have greatly enjoyed our occasional side bars when something just doesn't feel right or seem to be working.

Meet Avery McLaughlin! 🎭

We’re thrilled to introduce Avery as part of the cast of Top Girls by Caryl Churchill, presented by the Elgin Theatre Guild at the Historic Princess Avenue Playhouse.

From the Director-

I first directed Avery as part of my youth program 8 years ago. I have worked non-stop with her since. Not even out of high school yet, this young woman is a force. She is relentless in her attention to detail, her insights, and her willingness to constantly iterate. I have had the absolute privilege of watching her bring Angie to life. You do not want to miss her heart-rending performance.

We’re thrilled to introduce Judy as part of the cast of Top Girls by Caryl Churchill, presented by the Elgin Theatre Guild at the Historic Princess Avenue Playhouse.

From the Director-

I first worked with Judy almost 9 years ago to this day. What impressed me then and even now was her relentlessness and dedication. Every time she steps foot on stage is an opportunity to grow and she treats it as such. In her dual roles of Joan and Joyce she runs the whole gamut of human experience in three acts. She is a perfectionist whose research and commitment to authenticity will astound you.
