May 31st to June 6th is Accessibility Week. This morning the Accessibility Flag was raised at City Hall. Several members of MAAC were present, as we're members of council. The Mayor read the proclamation of Accessibility Week. I was able to represent the Thumbs Up Committee. Please reach out if you have any suggestions to celebrate or acknowledge this recognition of Accessibility in St Thomas.

Thumbs Up St. Thomas was at Hortons Farmers Market this morning. It was amazing to say hi to some great folks despite the often pouring rain. We'll be at the market twice more throughout the season.

2026 is progressing with difficult weather conditions, major construction projects and hope for a successful future. As we look to industrial development and new communities being constructed, we continue to work for accessibility. We seek to identify and remove barriers in St Thomas. I regret to inform everyone that Ken Lizotte, is currently in the ICU at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital. I have been advised that he is on a ventilator but have no other information on his condition.

Dec 3, International People with Disabilities Day.

Thanks to Sarah and her helpers for easing us in our foray in to Horton Market.
Our 2 visits were very interesting and we look forward to participating again in the spring.
