05/05/2025

Due to dry conditions, the RM of De Salaberry has implemented a Level 2 fire ban effective immediately, May 6, 2025 @ 12:00 AM CST. Therefore, all issued burn permits are being revoked and no new permits will be issued until conditions improve.

This fire ban allows for the use of BBQ's and Gas/Propane Fire tables and Bonfires (supervised) which are contained within approved receptacles between the hours of 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Should wind speeds exceed 25 KM/h, residents shall refrain from creating a Bonfire, even if within an approved receptacle.

Fires are only allowed in approved receptacles. NO open-air fires are allowed.

This applies to outdoor fires involving burning of grass, crop residue and bushes.

The ban will be in effect until conditions improve. Persons who contravene this ban and are found guilty of starting a fire, may be subject to fines and penalties. The municipality’s burning bylaw can be viewed on our website on the following page under Government/By-laws/Protection:
2382-19 Fire Prevention and Emergency Services By-law

Thank you to our hard-working firefighters! Fire calls cost time, money, resources and risks fire fighters’ safety.

When you’re allowed to burn, please burn responsibly.
