Volunteers can help by:

NOTICE TO VISITORS โ€“ ELEVATOR REPLACEMENT

Beginning on Monday, January 26, 2026, the elevator will be taken out of service for replacement. It is anticipated that this project will take approximately 8-10 weeks to complete.

For the duration of this project, family and friends visiting residents on the second floor will have to travel between the first and second floors using the stairs or the exterior ramp. Stairwells are located at the end of each hallway and in the centre core (across from the elevator).

Swipe cards will be required to access the stairwells in each wing. You can use your front door swipe card to open the stairwell doors. Or, you can ask a staff member to open the door for you.

The centre core stairwell does not have swipe card access. - you will have to enter the access code on the pinpad outside of the stairwells.

Visitors who are unable to use the stairs may use the ramp at the rear of the building. Swipe card access is required if using this option.

Please ask staff if assistance is required.

We appreciate your patience, understanding and cooperation as this necessary work is being carried out.

Caregiver Support for Family and Friends of our Residents

We know that it is not an easy decision to admit a loved one to a nursing home. It is hard to watch your loved oneโ€™s physical or mental health getting worse. You want what is best for them. But while you are focusing on providing the best care for your loved one, are you also taking care of yourself?

Weโ€™d like to provide some help for you - the caregivers. Weโ€™ve asked some people from Gentle Path to come and offer some help.

Please join us on Thursday, January 15th and 29th (3:00pm-4:00pm) at the Church Home. There is no pressure to take part. Just come and listen. Have a cup of coffee. Make yourself a priority for an hour. Thatโ€™s all!

If you have any questions, please call and leave me a message at 506-643-6118. Or, email me directly at [email protected]. Hope to see you there!
