As we reflect on receiving the 2025–2026 Outstanding Ethnocultural Group Award from the Saint John Newcomers Centre (SJNC) on April 30, we would like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude.

This recognition belongs to our entire community—our Board of Directors, volunteers, performers, members, partners, sponsors, and supporters. Your dedication to cultural exchange, community engagement, and helping newcomers feel welcome has made this achievement possible.

We are proud to be part of the SJNC Community Hub and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a more inclusive and connected Saint John. Every event, performance, partnership, and act of volunteerism helps build bridges between cultures and strengthens our community.

Thank you to SJNC for this meaningful recognition and for the important work you do to support newcomers and celebrate diversity.

🎣 **Fishing Knowledge Workshop Successfully Concluded**

Our fishing knowledge workshop was successfully held this afternoon!

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Baochun Zhen for his informative and engaging presentation. From fishing regulations and techniques to equipment selection and safety tips, the session was packed with practical knowledge and valuable insights that benefited everyone.

We would also like to thank all the participants who attended and actively engaged in the discussion. Your support and participation made this event a great success!

Tonight we had the pleasure of attending the Multicultural Night at Chris Saunders Memorial Elementary School. We are honored to have been invited to be part of such a wonderful event!

It was a great success—full of energy, culture, and fun. A special highlight of the evening was the amazing dragon dance and lion dance performed by the staff, which brought so much excitement and joy to everyone.

Thank you to the school for the warm welcome and for celebrating diversity in such a meaningful way.

Over the past few days, I’ve been reflecting on this campaign journey, and the one thing I want to say most is simple and sincere: thank you ❤️

During this campaign, I received so much support and help.
I would like to thank Dr. Cui for building six large campaign sign frames and for the full support from his family. I’m also grateful to Shiny, Kakacolor (Justin Guo), and Grace Ng for their generous donations, which helped my message reach more people.

I would also like to thank Lucianna, Marijk, Betty, and Cindy for their thoughtful discussions, for walking with me while door knocking, and for going through many of the key issues during the campaign.

I would also like to thank my campaign team. Together, we put up signs, distributed flyers, and dedicated a great deal of time and effort to bring this campaign to where it is today. There are also many friends who shared, encouraged, and supported me — although I cannot name everyone, please know that I truly appreciate each of you.

Receiving over 700 votes is not only encouraging, but also a sign of trust. That trust strengthens my determination to continue speaking up for the community and serving residents.

I sincerely hope this experience can serve as a starting point to encourage more members of the Chinese community to get involved in community and public affairs. Participation is the beginning of change, and every step forward helps our voices be seen and heard.

Although I was not elected this time, this is not the end — it is a new beginning. I will continue to stay involved, care about our community, and contribute to our shared future.

这几天一直在回想这段竞选的经历，心中最想说的，还是一句简单而真诚的：谢谢大家 ❤️

在这次竞选过程中，我得到了非常多的支持与帮助。
感谢崔博士为我制作了6个大型广告架，并和家人一起全力支持我。也感谢 Shiny、Kakacolor（Justin Guo）和 Grace Ng 的慷慨捐助，让我的声音有机会被更多人看到。

同时也特别感谢 Lucianna、Marijk、Betty 和 Cindy，在竞选过程中与我一起走访社区、参与入户拜访，并就许多重要议题与我深入讨论。

也要感谢我的助选团队，大家一起搭建广告架、派送宣传单，付出了大量的时间和精力，让这次竞选一步一步走到今天。还有很多朋友帮忙转发、鼓励和支持，虽然无法一一提到，但请相信我都铭记在心。

这次获得700多张选票，对我来说不仅是鼓励，更是一份信任。这份信任让我更加坚定，继续为社区发声、为居民服务。

我也真心希望，这次的经历能够成为一个起点，鼓励更多华人朋友参与社区和公共事务。参与本身就是改变的开始，每一步努力，都会让我们的声音被更多人看到、听到。

虽然这次没有当选，但这不是结束，而是一个新的开始。我会继续关心社区、参与社区，为我们共同的未来尽一份力量。
