After a busy summer, our space has had a deep clean and we are ready for more folks to enjoy using our affordable rental space and help support our community centre at the same time!

Courtney Ward is the lovely person behind most of your rental correspondence! As a member at large, Courtney has been responsible primarily for booking and coordinating rentals a well as aiding in social media and other aspects of keeping our centre running smoothly.

Courtney is a Registered Nurse and has been a Martinon resident for 5 years and lives here with her husband and three beautiful children. When they first moved to Martinon, the community centre was a highlight for them in hopes that community events would occur. When she's not working or helping at the centre, she is running to sporting events with the kids or crocheting something special for a loved one.

"I want to help make the community centre thrive and bring our little community together!"

The Ace is still alive!

Tickets for sale every day of the week via e-transfer or from Martinon Community Centre board members directly.

1 ticket $5
3 tickets $10
7 tickets $20

To purchase tickets via e-transfer please send your money to [email protected] and include the following in the message section of your e-transfer:
1. The full name of the ticket holder
2. The phone number of the ticket holder
3. The word "FACEBOOK" in the message so we know that we need to fill tickets out on your behalf.

E-transfer purchases must be made before 7pm each Wednesday to be considered for the Thursday draw. If any e-transfers are sent later than this, those tickets will be considered for the following week.

We will also be selling tickets in person at the community centre every Wednesday night for as long as the Ace is alive from 5:00pm -6:30pm.

Meet our President: Brandon Hines!

Brandon has lived in Martinon for over 45 years and this is not his first rodeo at holding the president position for our community centre. Brandon was previously president in the early 2010s and loves us so much he just had to come back.

He has worked in the oil and gas industry for nearly 40 years and spends most of his free time with his grandchildren. Brandon wants to leave the community centre in a position to thrive and grow for the next generation.

Meet our board members! ☺️

Kent Pierce is our Vice President and has been a resident of Martinon for over 17 years. He brings a ton of knowledge and experience to our centre as a Red Seal Carpenter and will be a tremendous source of guidance and help in some of our upcoming projects. In his free time, Kent likes to relax and spend time at his camp.

"I want to do what I can to help maintain and improve the community centre. It is a great resource for the community."

We are grateful to have Kent as our new Vice President!

📣 The Martinon Community Centre is looking for a few folding tables and chairs that may have been borrowed over the years and accidentally never made their way home. 😊

If you happen to have any belonging to the Centre tucked away in a garage, basement, or storage room, we would greatly appreciate their return as we prepare for upcoming community events and rentals.

No questions asked — we’re just hoping to reunite our tables and chairs with their home! ❤️
