Bee Me Kidz

Bee Me Kidz Children will learn about understanding and managing their emotions, problem-solving, making friends and building confidence.

A FREE program for families in New Brunswick that makes learning and growing fun! ๐Ÿ Bee Me Kidz is a unique social and emotional learning program developed for the family unit and helps entire communities. Saturdays at Bee Me Kidz are special because of our unique approach to helping families be โ€œthe best me they can bee!โ€ Children in grades 1 to 5, siblings, and parents/guardians will attend an

hour and a half group session where the family can make friends and have fun. During this time, parents/guardians will laugh and learn the parallel lessons as their child(ren) so it can be reinforced at home. At the end of Parent Group, parents/guardians can make a delicious and nutritious take-home brunch to enjoy as a family. Bee Me Kidz offers a community of support and trust. Check out what other parents and families are saying about the program on our page. We hope to meet you and your family soon. Feel free to call (506) 349-7331 if you have any questions and to learn more.

This weekโ€™s Summer SEL Fun tip comes from Abby and Lauren: the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Method.

When emotions feel big or thoughts start moving too quickly, this simple activity helps children pause and reconnect with whatโ€™s happening around them.

Invite your child to name:
๐Ÿ‘€ 5 things they can see
โœ‹ 4 things they can touch
๐Ÿ‘‚ 3 things they can hear
๐Ÿ‘ƒ 2 things they can smell
๐Ÿ‘… 1 thing they can taste

Moving through each sense gives children something clear and concrete to focus on. It can help them slow down, feel more present and create space before deciding what to do next.

Try practicing it together during a calm moment first. That way, it feels familiar when your child really needs it.

Five senses. A few quiet moments. One practical tool children can use almost anywhere ๐Ÿ

When schools make space for social and emotional learning, children gain skills that support everything else they do ๐Ÿ’›
They learn how to name what theyโ€™re feeling, calm themselves during difficult moments, solve problems, show empathy and build healthier relationships.

Weโ€™re so proud to hear principals describe Bee Me Kidz as a great addition to their schools! Thank you to our partner schools for making us part of your classrooms and communities ๐Ÿ

One of the greatest compliments a program can receive is hearing that families wish it could continue ๐Ÿ’›

Dr. Wendy Stewart, New Brunswick pediatric neurologist and Bee Me Kidz board member, shares that many parents would love to keep learning with us as their children grow into their teen years. That desire says so much about the confidence, connection and practical skills families gain through Bee Me Kidz.

Weโ€™re so proud to create an experience families value enough to want more of ๐Ÿ
